Diaz was first established as a translation department of a patent research company, Technoresearch Co., Ltd., in 1979 and subsequently restarted as “Diaz Inc.” in 2003. Our company was named after Bartholomew Diaz, a Portuguese explorer, who discovered the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa. The name “Diaz” was chosen to indicate our determination to help our clients achieve their dreams and goals. At Diaz, we are constantly improving our skills to provide high-quality services.
We offer highly-qualified translation services.
Diaz is not a universal translation company that excels in every field and language, and some fields are out of our area of expertise. However, based on our many years of expertise, we have the know-how and confidence in the quality of our translations of technical documents, especially those related to intellectual property. Translation of technical documents requires the translator to understand the technology well and express it clearly in sentences. In Diaz, we have translators with extensive engineering work experiences, and the translations undergo a second, or even third round of stringent checks before they are submitted to our clients. For Japanese-English and English-Japanese translations of patent and IP translation services, we have also acquired ISO 17100, the international certification for translation services. Our motto is “high-quality”.
We have a secure system that ensures the confidentiality of the entire translation process. All hardcopies are disposed of by a professional company using dissolution treatment, and the data will be deleted from our system after a certain period of time. We can enter into a nondisclosure agreement even with individual works. Any corporate and individual information obtained are strictly deemed as highly confidential and will not be shared with any third parties outside of Diaz.
